WWE BRAGGING RIGHTS THOUGHTS

Daniel Bryan for the 3rd PPV stole the show

Dolph Ziggler for the 2nd time in his career stole the show

Dolph/Mysterio, Summerslam 09

John Cena is a champion again

This time I'm quite happy with it

David Otunga is a champion for the 1st time

At this time I'm quite happy with it

Goldust finally had a match on PPV

Is Goldust the most underrated performer EVER!

NO!

Sorry, I mean - no

I get a bit carried away talking about Goldust

Has Ted DiBiase got AWESOME music or what?

Is Natalya the sexiest women in wrestling today?

Is Lay - Cool the most annoying gimmick in wrestling today?

Does anybody actually care about wrestling today?

I dont and I'm writing about it

Kane and Taker had another boring as hell match

Does that mean hell is boring?

Who remembers Rellik?

Was he from hell?

Rellik is Killer spelled backwards

So Nexus attacked Taker to help Kane retain his title

You know what that means?

HBK is the leader of Nexus

Not really

Talking about underrated, HBK is underrated in my opinion

I'm not joking

Kane's title reign is now over three months long and I hope it continues for a while yet

I believe it will

Edge was the star of the show in a good Raw vs Smackdown match

The star on the Raw side was CM Punk

Orton kept his belt

The end.

Bragging Rights Preview

Tonight is WWE's second pay-per-view this month Bragging Rights. The card doesn't appear to have anything special up its sleeve and will likely bomb when the buy rates come in, in a few weeks time. The last time I knew there were only five matches announced for tonights super-card so I'll run through them and give you my predictions.

World Heavyweight Championship Match.
Kane Vs The Undertaker
I expect this to be the night that 'Taker will regain the championship, I also suspect that Paul Bearer may turn on Kane tonight (the ties speak for themselves). The fact that this match was pulled up to this month than rather having it at Survivor Series proves that WWE want to finish off the angle. I believe that a Buried Alive match is a good blow off for this feud. There was also talk of having Kane go over tonight so that they will have there final blow off match at WrestleMania, I can't see that happening but the option is there.
Prediction: Undertaker

WWE Championship Match.
Randy Orton Vs Wade Barrett.
I fully expect Randy Orton to retain tonight yet I also believe that maybe giving Barrett the title would be the right thing to do to capitalize on the momentum he has in his Cena angle. There are couple of ways they could take the storyline after the match, one possibility would be for Barrett to get Cena to screw Orton over and eventually Cena would beat Barrett for title and go on to face Orton at a later date or Cena could accidentally screw Barrett meaning the Raw GM would not fire Cena and Barrett would be outraged etc etc. The second option seems more likely.
Prediction: Orton

Divas Championship Match.
LayCool vs Natalya.
I'm guessing LayCool takes the victory no matter who wrestles Natalya.
Prediction: LayCool

Bragging Rights Match.
The thing what really angers me about this match is that there is no reason for it, the two brand are fighting for nothing so therefore there is no justification for the match-up. If both sides had anything to gain besides 'bragging rights' then that would be a different story. I'll go team Raw purely because Smackdown won last year.
Prediction: Team Raw

Non-Title Match.
Dolph Ziggler vs Daniel Bryan.
I'm guessing this is a prelude to a unification match later this year so this is probably a fued creating match. It'll probably go to Dolph unless Bryan wins and gets attacked after the match. I'm very unsure about this bout. Yet I'm predicting match of the night.
Prediction: Daniel Bryan

Wade Barret's Success

I will be the first to admit that when I first saw Wade Barrett on the first episode of NXT I didn't see anything special. I saw an English stereotype that didn't have very good mic skills. However as time went on and I didn't watch NXT I heard and read some good things about him so when the time rolled on to the final show I must admit I was impressed with his ring work (for a young WWE talent) but still I didn't think he would last.

Then came that night on Raw which made Professional wrestling exciting again, the Nexus invasion brought unpredictability to Monday nights but with its potential came lots of doubt. First came the worry that the eight men wouldn't be able to handle the stress and be to green in ring. Second came the knowledge that yes WWE will mess up this angle but when?

Somehow through all of the challenges the Nexus have faced from Bryan Danielsons release to their burial at SummerSlam, Wade Barrett has been a constant even at SummerSlam when I thought the angle was close to finish it was clear Barrett would have a career in WWE which will have moderate success but now...

After Hell In A Cell with the defeat of John Cena, Wade Barrett has secured himself a place amongst the best the WWE have offer among the speakers of the company (second in my opinion to only CM Punk) and his in ring work has improved greatly these past few months. I can't say Wade Barrett is the biggest English star to come out of the WWE that mantle still belongs Davey Boy Smith, I can't say that Wade Barrett is the best English wrestler to come out of WWE either that accolade belongs to William Regal but what I can say is this... Wade Barret could well be the future of the WWE, hes not the best or most talented Englishman to enter WWE but he clearly has the most potential of all those that came before him.

MY TOP 10 WRESTLERS OF ALL TIME

Just who are the top 10 performers in the history of pro wrestling? Everyone has their own opinion and now, I'm going to give you mine. Just like when I named my top 10 matches of all time, I have thought about this list/countdown long and hard and some of the entries may shock some of you, but in my opinion, you can't get better than these following 10 men.

10. Stone Cold Steve Austin

9. Dean Malenko

8. Rey Mysterio

7. Chris Benoit

6. Chris Jericho

5. Ric Flair

4. The Undertaker

3. Bret Hart

2. Kurt Angle

1. Shawn Michaels

WWE HELL IN A CELL QUICK THOUGHTS

Daniel Bryan got no reaction when he made his entrance. I'm all for the music, but if this continues they will have to 'rock' the track up a bit.

John Morrison was, once again, very impressive at the PPV, but if he keeps taking risks like that, his career wont last long.

The 'future' of the WWE has now tapped out twice to Daniel Bryan. Does this 'hurt' The Miz's progress? I say not. I think the fued between the two have gotten both men 'over' with the fans even more. The program between them shown just how good Bryan is, while The Miz unleashed his vicious side, which we hadn't seen until this point. The future looks bright for both men.

I actually thought Natalya and Michelle McCool had a good match. My only annoyance with it was the outcome. If McCool was not married to 'The Deadman', then she wouldn't be employed by the company, so giving her all these lengthly title runs, wins and unification matches just taints all these so called 'accomplishments'.

Right then, this was supposed to be a quick recap and its turning into anything but, so without further ado, lets get to it.

Randy Orton beat Sheamus.

Sheamus lost to Orton.

Again.

Sheamus did have a good 'showing', but in the end he fell short.

Again.

Randy climbed the Cell.

With the WWE Title tied around his waist.

Backwards.

Cena kicked out of The Wasteland.

Wade Barret kicked out of the FU.

But then a 'fan' ran into the ring and helped distract the referee.

So Husky Harris could hit Cena and cost him the match.

The announcers didn't know who Husky Harris.

Even though he was a 'big' name on NXT Season 2.

But then again that probably explains it.

As no one watched NXT Season 2.

I did though.

Not really.

Kane is still champ.

After Paul Bearer turned on The Undertaker and damaged him with Takers' only weakness.

LIGHT!

Well actually a torch.

Inside an urn.

And a dull one at that.

This could have all been avoided if Taker saw Bearer wearing that red tie.

He could have took out the batteries.

TONIGHT??????

QUICK HELL IN A CELL THOUGHTS

Why is John Morrison in the US Title Match?

Has the Sheamus/Orton fued got so heated and brutal that they have to settle their fued inside a Hell in a Cell?

Where the hell is Triple H?  ;)

Its just not Nexus without Darren Young and Skip Sheffield, is it?  ;)

Why is Paul Bearer siding against his own son?

Why is Paul Bearer siding with the man who tried to kill him?

If someone can answer these for me, it would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

BY THE NUMBERS: WWE HELL IN A CELL PREDICTIONS

Its time for the 2nd annual Hell in a Cell PPV. An event that will have 2 Hell in a Cell matches, 2 rematches from Night of Champions and its only 2 weeks after the said PPV. I'm happy to report though, that this event, just like Night of Champions, is looking good. At the moment the card only has 4 matches announced (I dont include the Diva bouts), but all 4 are intriguing contests, with 3 being main event caliber matches. Here are my quick predictions on tonights event.

Submissions Count Anywhere US Championship Triple Threat Match: Daniel Bryan (c) vs The Miz vs John Morrison

PREDICTION: I cant see The Miz taking the belt back, so I pick Daniel to win by making Morrison tap out. I also think we will see a Morrison heel turn, if not, the seeds will at least be planted.

HELL IN A CELL WWE Championship Match: Randy Orton (c) vs Sheamus

PREDICTION: It would be stupid for the WWE to blame the recent ratings decline on Orton's first babyface title run and they wont. Orton wins with an RKO on the ring steps or through a table.

John Cena vs Wade Barrett

PREDICTION: Its a very tough one to call. There are many possible outcomes. I will say Cena wins, but through a loop hole or the reveal of the GM, Nexus will be back together by the end of Raw tomorrow night.

HELL IN A CELL World Championship Match: Kane (c) vs The Undertaker w/ Paul Bearer

PREDICTION: Kane wins after Paul Bearer turns on The Undertaker for trying to kill him 6 years ago. Which sets up Taker' winning at Survivor Series, which is 20 years since his original debut.

Or I have an alternate take on tonights event. Nexus win and run wild at tonights event. Its just a hunch, but who knows.
